The time has come for another insane-in-da-membrane wedding featuring two people who love each other heaps.
Kmy + Jono grew up over 9,000 miles from one another. Don’t you find that fascinating? Love knows no geographical obstacle and doesn’t let anyone put it in a corner. Not even Kmy and Jono whose futile attempts to not fall in love were foiled by a plan bigger than one they could orchestrate.
We LOVED their wedding day. Even though Sydney is home now, they wanted to bring it back to Kmy’s birthplace for their nuptials. Planning a wedding from that far away is a bit of an obstacle but Kmy + Jono put everything together beautifully. From Grandma’s button collection turned table markers to the mesquite tree cookies, everything was DIY. The one thing Kmy did bring from Sydney was her custom wedding dress which is so unique and perfect! We also loved the bouquet and boutonnieres by one of our favorite Texas florists, Lindy!
Also, we just can’t go without giving a shout out to the Aussies who made the trek over to be part of their day. They totally solidified the truth that I’ve never met an Aussie I didn’t like. The ladies were ladies and the gents were pure gentlemen. Kmy + Jono, you guys are tops. Thank you for having us at your wedding day!

The words needed to adequately sum up how amazing McKenzie + John are cannot be found in the English language. It was touching, beautiful, and an absolute blast.
McKenzie is my best friend that neither one of us knew about. Given the choice we probably wouldn’t (…couldn’t, really) spend less than 4 hours together. She truly cares about things and leaves nothing surface level. I freakin love that. Her inspiration in life is constantly reminded to her by two words inked on her left arm; Courage in her Momma’s handwriting and Integrity in her Father’s. McKenzie’s presence feels like a big warm hug. And although we didn’t meet John until the big day, I can say he is totally ‘that guy’. McKenzie described him as cute, side-clutchingly hysterical, and creative out the ying-yang… we agree. He wore his grandfathers belt to the wedding, made McKenzie a mixed cd for her boudoir session, and adores his family. A+ material, that guy.
Their wedding day transpired how all weddings should. A day full of laughter, dancing, and drinking. Where two funny, quirky, creative, kind, generous, free-spirited, and fun to the 10th power people who are totally madly in love get hitched surrounded by their closest family and friends.
